 Synopsis

Shannon's Rainbow "Shannon's Rainbow" is a heart wrenching and intense drama about a teenaged girl named Shannon, who faces and overcomes tragedy through the love of a horse and the mother she never knew.

Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black) and Julianne Michelle (The House Is Burning) star as mother and daughter respectively in this long anticipated film, which is based in part on a true story.

The impressive cast of “Shannon’s Rainbow” also includes award-winning performers such as Daryl Hannah, Charles Durning, Michael Madsen, Eric Roberts, Krista Allen, Stephen Colletti, Jason Gedrick, Joanna Pacula, Steve Guttenberg, Willie Garson, George Lopez and others.

Frank E. Johnson, a co-founder of Summit Works Films, is the director for “Shannon’s Rainbow.” His credits include director of photography for “Predator” and director or director of photography for feature films and TV series such as “Walker Texas Ranger,” “Touched By An Angel,” “The A-Team,” and “Wiseguy.” Highly acclaimed Dean Cundey -- whose many film credits include “Jurassic Park,” all three “Back to the Future” features, and “Apollo 13” -- is the cinematographer for “Shannon’s Rainbow.” The executive producer and casting director is Joycelyn Engle of Supernova Media Inc. of New York City.

Pittsburgh-area radio and TV personality Larry Richert (KDKA) and actor/writer John Mowod co-wrote the screenplay, and are also serving as the Pennsylvania producers.
